MARKETING CASE STUDY – Kenton Park Wine Estate
by Melanie Cowie

The Client

Kenton Park Estate is a family-owned boutique vineyard known for its gin, wine, and whisky. The area’s soil and mild climate make it perfect for such production. The estate originally belonged to Powderham Castle Estate and was first established as a Wine Estate in 2003 producing many award winning wines. The original Vineyard has now expanded significantly with the planting of 15,000 new vines. People are able to visit the estate for tastings and dining experiences. Kenton Park Estate produces 7 wines, 2 gins, and 2 whiskeys.  Kenton Park also holds many wine-tasting festivals.

The Brief

To design bottle labels for Kenton Park Estates 2 limited edition, new wines; the Grape Escape which is a  white wine, and Pigéage which is a rosé wine. These wines would be available to purchase via their website, as well as at events and wine festivals. The design needed to be distinctive, yet still fit with their other illustrations and branding.  This would include both product and website.

We worked with Kenton Park Estate to create a new product label design, producing an outline product design and product description with an understanding of market positioning, key target audience and where it will sell.  “We worked with the Kenton Park Estate brand for the new wine packaging,” added Mykreative Graphic Design Director, Mike Holden.  “The overall design clearly differentiates the product from other similar products on the market and the style is very strong and clearly prominent on the front of the bottles, as well as fit with the current overall brand identity.”

Both Pigéage and Grape Escape are available on the Kenton Park Estates website.
